The Minister of Finance has been listed in Forbes 100 most powerful
women in the world at number 83. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, a former Managing
Director at World Bank is one of 2 Africans on the Forbes list. The
other being the president of Malawi, Joyce Banda.
Atop the list of most powerful women in the world is German
Chancellor, Angela Merkel. Other notable names are Michelle Obama who
was ranked at #4, Hilary Clinton at #5, & Oprah Winfrey at #13.
According to Forbes, “This annual snapshot of the 100 women with
impact are top politicians and CEOs, activist billionaires and
celebrities who matter.”
